This autumn is so much more special than any other of my life. I am officially in nesting mode and my baby boy is taking up all my thoughts. #pregnantbrain is a real thing! As the seasons change so is my life and so is our home, we started construction in our apartment on Monday to build baby boy’s nursery! I seriously cannot even believe that I just wrote those words. I can’t believe I get to meet my boy face to face in less than 3 months!! It’s like you wait what feels like an eternity for huge life milestones; high school graduation, college graduation, nailing your first ‘real’ job, meeting the love of your life, for some getting married and having children. Then all of a sudden these things start to happen, maybe not all of them, but all of a sudden, you’re saying, ‘Wow it’s been 10 years since college?!’ ‘Our wedding anniversary is coming up!’ Or, ‘Im about to have a baby.’ Life happens way too fast, but I am taking it slow and loving soaking in all of these changing moments.

I started taking photos of the construction of the changing nursery and will share a full before post then a nursery reveal! Hubs is a suuuuper talented designer so plans for the room are really exciting! The room should be totally finished by the first week of November, my baby shower is the beginning of November so we want it done by then. Then baby boy will be here in December. Wowza.

This look is such a typical look for me. Layers and layers of basics topped off with a hat. Now that I am getting biiig, I am finding my go-to is dress with a cardigan or jacket or jeans and a tee with a duster, cardi or jacket. Keeping my style as close to my non-pregnancy style as possible. This dress is so comfy and has stretched with my belly even though it isn’t maternity. The material is super flattering and the twist detail takes this LBD to a whole new level! Nothing I am wearing here is maternity, so feel free to shop away!

Look at that bump! This was about 2 weeks ago when I was 26 weeks preggo.

This bag is waaaay too good. It is a laptop bag with a lining that can be pulled out then placed into a different shell. Same bag two ways and you bet I will double it as a diaper bag! Totally chic, yes?

Have a wonderful week!

This look is the last of my photos where you can’t see my belly. It’s funny because I was 22 weeks pregnant, but because of the way the dress hung you can’t even see my sweet bump. I have officially entered huge belly stage and I love it. I shot three looks this last weekend and my belly is definitely the center piece. I can’t wait to share!

These last few weeks the weather has been all over the place and I am SO happy it is cooling down. Summer is my favorite season, but fall is my favorite for fashion. Being preggo in the fall, I really feel like I can keep my style and feel like myself.

This look is so fun, it is so young, easy to recreate and so comfortable. I am bummed that I can’t really jump on the slip dress trend this fall so this is the closest I am gonna get!

When I first started blogging I wasn’t sure if and how I was going to make any blogging friends. I didn’t know if it was a caddy, competitive world or if I would find that the women are kind, genuine and supportive. I was willing to take this whole thing head on, by myself. Well, thankfully I am not in this alone and I have met some of the most incredibly kind, supportive women who have gone from ‘Instagram-friends’ to real-life-life-long friends. Blogging requires a lot of time alone, styling, writing, Pinning, Tweeting, Instagramming, Facebooking, editing… but having found strong, supportive and incredibly fun women to enjoy all of it with (and be able to whine to when needed) has been the greatest gift in blogging. We support each other’s posts, show up to each other’s events, text advice when needed, give honest feedback, take photos of one another, and have the best girls nights out.

While shoots tend to be done solo in front of the lens, this shoot was extra fun because I got to shoot with two of my closest blogging girlfriends . Michelle, Cassandra and I were so excited to all be apart of the same campaign and work with Mavi Jeans. As you know by now, I am a denim addict and believe not all denim is created equal. Well, I have to tell you, Mavi lives up to my extremely high denim standards. The quality is fantastic, the fabric is soft and the jeans hold their shape throughout the day. Also, they are suuuuper comfortable. I was about 15 weeks preggo in these pics and just starting to show and was able to feel comfortable in these jeans. I was not wearing a belly band, just doing the good ol’ hair tie trick to keep the button closed. I have refused to wear any other jeans since finding out I am pregnant. These are just that comfortable. Promise if you try them, you will be hooked too.

Have a great weekend with your squad!

Happy Tuesday babes! I hope you all had the best weekend! Hubs and I spent the whole weekend in the burbs with our family and it was just perfect. We have had the craziest summer, it’s been so busy so a little slow-down time was totally needed. Life in this city moves so fast, it seems like some days are a total blur and right now, remembering to slow down and take it all in is incredibly important. Thankfully, I have the most wonderful reminder everyday, this sweet little bump. It really is the greatest reminder to stop, take a deep breath, and be thankful for all the little (and big things) going on.

These pics were taken when I was 16 weeks pregnant, I will be 21 weeks on Thursday, and I can’t believe how much bigger this bump has grown in just a few weeks. Baby is kicking up a storm and hubs and I are loooooving feeling all the movements. We found out the gender last week and I promise to tell you all later this week!

This look has been my summer go-to. Easy dress, lace up sandals, and fun accessories. If you have been following me for a while, you know this is my favorite way to dress: comfortable, casual but elevating the look with easy accessories like a wide brim hat and dainty jewelry. This dress is not maternity (I have yet to buy any maternity clothes) and definitely my favorite right now.

Some exciting news! This week Foray Collective has featured me on their website and I also did a Snapchat takeover! They asked me to wear and chat about my go-to summer look and this was it! Did you happen to catch my takeover? It was different than anything I have done on my own Snap and I loved it! I will be incorporating more informational Snaps on things I am loving, anything else you ladies want to see? I want to hear, please comment below!!
